Ponder And Practice

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, and
He shall give you the desires of your heart.”
                                                                                                                                                           Psalm 37:4

Dearly beloved in Christ,

I greet you in the sweet name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Some years back, the region where I lived was water logged. In all the roads there was stagnation of water all over the place. After a few days, water began to recede. Ground began to appear. Water collected in low-lying places made the situation worse by making the place miry and deep. The path that I had usually used became so bad that no one could ride through it. So, I took an alternative path. One day even that path was strewn with fronds of a coconut tree fallen from trees of an owner known to me. They were causing trouble for everyone passing through that lane. I wanted to talk to the owner to clean the trees by removing them. I had even a mind to do it myself.

Then, instead of turning to men, I thought it wise to look up to the Lord from where my help comes. He is the One who goes before and prepares the way, removing all obstacles. I was relieved when I left everything into His hands. I had peace at heart. ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Zechariah 4:6 says the Lord. So leaving everything to the Lord and trusting Him, I began to praise Him. No longer did the thought of the path bother me. I just delighted in the goodness of the Lord. The next day I went that way and found that the house owner had trimmed all those trees. I also saw workers on the road setting right the damaged road.

The Lord Jesus Christ who sets right even such simple things is alive even today. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Today, Jesus Christ will set right things in our life to and make you happy. He would help you and would do away with all obstacles in your way. He will help you in all areas of life where you need His help – marriage, job, promotion, becoming permanently employed, getting licence, constructing a house, recovering rent, health, and a peaceful life.

Let us not be dismayed or speak ill of God, but with trust, keep praising Him. He will not let us down. He will wipe away all our worries and make us have victory in everything. He will fill our hearts with His glorious presence. Let us place our confidence and hope in Him for all our troubles and have peace and comfort in Him.

May the Lord bless us!

Bro. C. Ebenezer Paul (Late).
